There aren't many places in Kyoto where the hotel is a sightseeing destination. This, however, is precisely the uniqueness of the Arashiyama Benkei where you can enjoy their famous onsens (hot springs). This historic ryokan was built in 1969 and looks like an ancient tea house. Surrounded by cherry blossoms in the spring and red leaves that blanket the mountains in the fall, you will find peace in this beautiful place. Take in a multi-course kaiseki meal at their fine restaurant, and relax in their indoor and open-air baths. If you need help at any time, staff dressed in kimonos will assist you throughout your stay. Each of Arashiyama Benkei's ten rooms has air conditioning, a TV, and a refrigerator.
