Papillon Plaza

No frills when shopping at this vast budget mall

If you’re shopping on a budget, the Papillon Plaza mall is a one-stop-shop for inexpensive clothes and daily necessities. The complex is home to large branches of some of Japan’s biggest discount retailers, including Eco Mall which deals in pre-owned goods. The store stocks everything from clothes and accessories to electronic items and musical instruments and can be a great place to find some weird and wonderful Japanese items. You will also find a branch of Book Off inside the Eco Mall building, which stocks a huge range of second-hand books, manga, and anime. The majority of books are in Japanese, but you can usually find at least some in English. Papillon Plaza is also home to a Daiso 100-yen store. Its vast product range includes toiletries, cosmetics, and stationary, as well as home and kitchenware which make for good, inexpensive souvenirs. Several fast food restaurants are on site, including McDonald’s and KFC.
